 Planetarium Omega

Experience the profound joy of communal listening through Planetarium, a deep listening event designed to build connection through music.

Open your heart, relax your mind, and lose yourself in the sounds of Planetarium, a deep listening event series run by the creators and artists behind the New York City music institution Nowadays and the long-running party series Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday.

Join in a truly communal experience through immersive listening sessions and live performances, all amplified through a custom-installed, 50-foot wall of speakers with giant horns and big, glowing tubes, reproducing sound in the most grounding, beautiful way. EM/IA, an audio company run by Jeffrey W. Jackson and Dave Slagle, is the result of more than 50 years of high fidelity experimentation and listening, with a love of music at its center.

Musical selections range from evocative and entrancing to hazily sensual and psychedelic, from traditional vibrational instruments to modern electronic equipment.

As the weekend unfolds, you also engage in thematic talks, reflective silence, somatic movement practices, and guided meditation, all culminating in a multi-hour deep listening session. Experience the profound, healing, and joyful impact of sharing music among a community of like-minded listeners and discover how active listening can lead to deeper connection to yourself and others.

More Information

Enrollment is limited for this program; register early.

Things to Bring

Please bring whatever you need to be comfortable in the listening space: blankets, sleeping bags, bean bags, pillows, etc. Omega has yoga mats and yoga blankets on site to borrow. The space at Omega is larger than the loft where Planetarium happens in NYC, and the capacity will be lower, so there will be room to spread out.
