Tommy Rosen is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and a leading authority on yoga and recovery with 20 years experience helping others to overcome addictions of every kind. He is an innovator in the relatively new field of yoga and recovery, which combines yoga and meditation to help people to move beyond addiction and build fulfilling lives.
Rosen first found recovery through the 12-steps. Some years later, he hit “several bottoms,” he says, that compelled him to search for other ways to free himself from his additions. His search led him to Kundalini Yoga, where he found what he refers to as “true recovery.”
He completed the Yoga West 10-month Kundalini Yoga teacher training in June of 2008 and then went on to complete YogaWorks’ 200-hour teacher training. In addition, he has spent six years studying with Guru Prem Singh Khalsa, a master of Kundalini Yoga.
Rosen now teaches yoga at Naam Yoga LA in California and runs workshops and retreats internationally. He also teaches and speaks regularly at yoga conferences and festivals, such as the Wanderlust Festivals, Hanuman Festival, and Bhaktifest.
Tommy Rosen’s blogs have appeared in the Huffington Post, the Daily Love, and Yoga Mint, and he has written for LA Yoga, Yogi Times, and the Aquarian Times.
