Mary Robinson was the first woman President of Ireland (from December 1990 to September 1997) and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. Mary is cofounder of Project Dandelion, the first global, women-led movement for climate justice. She is also a passionate advocate for gender equality, women’s participation in peace-building, and human dignity.
Mary's globally recognized voice on climate change highlights the need for drastic action from world leaders, as well as the intersectionality of the climate emergency: from intergenerational injustice to gender inequality and biodiversity loss.
