Joining voices not only deepens connections with others, but also within ourselves, releasing that which no longer serves us and bringing in what does.
During this special, 4-night event, experience a varied repertoire written and collected by our group of diverse song leaders. Experienced and beginner singers alike are invited to experience songs that have been sung through the ages during times of struggle, resistance, and triumph. We also join in a communal grief ritual, learn the basics of Gullah stick pounding, and learn the art of singing in a quartet.
The collective power of song allows us to access our courage, connect deeply with one another, and bring these healing experiences back to our communities. Through the creation of song, harmony, and rhythm, we become inspired, energized, and connected with one another.
No prior singing experience is necessary.
