Rachel Allen, RYT-200, is a certified music practitioner who has worked extensively in hospice care and as a sound healer, Reiki master, and experienced registered yoga teacher who provides trauma-sensitive yoga.
Rachel facilitates expressive music for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and individuals in recovery, partnering with organizations such as Victim Services Inc., the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and Conemaugh Cancer Center. Rachel was instrumental in founding HEAL PA, a trauma-sensitive initiative in Pennsylvania. She is a rostered practitioner with The Breathe Network and supports social justice initiatives through her involvement with the Unity Coalition of the Southern Alleghenies.
With more than 10 years of study at the intersection of yoga and social justice, Rachel holds certifications as a Dynamic Gentle Yoga Teacher and an Accessible Yoga Ambassador. As the author of Blessings Beyond Bypass, her work has been featured in Northern Appalachia Review, Long Shot Books, and Christians Practicing Yoga.
Rachel offers yoga, healing music, and movement experiences at retreats and conferences, both in person and virtually, and provides training on resilience building, compassion fatigue, trauma awareness, and mindfulness across the US and internationally.
