Warm, funny, and inspirational are words that have been used to describe Nancy Slonim Aronie, a distinguished writer and commentator for National Public Radio’s All Things Considered, and founder of the Chilmark Writing Workshop on Martha’s Vineyard.
Author of The Seven Secrets to Writing the Perfect Personal Essay: Crafting the Story Only You Can Write and Writing From the Heart: Tapping the Power of Your Inner Voice, Memoir as Medicine, she teaches at Kripalu and Esalen. She has taught writing for 25 years, most recently with Robert Coles at Harvard University. Nancy has had a monthly column in McCalls magazine, was a visiting writer at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and was writer in residence at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. She is the recipient of an honorary Phi Beta Kappa alumni award for special recognition from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia.
