Lori S. Katz, PhD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of Military Sexual Trauma (MST). She began working on the issue of MST in 1993, and became the chair of the MST team in 1995. In 1998, she won the Federal Executive Award for outstanding team accomplishment.
Katz developed and ran a sexual trauma treatment program for women veterans, which attracted participants from across the country and garnered media attention such as a story and video in the New York Times and a PBS documentary that won the 2010 Emmy award for best news segment of the year.
Katz is active in providing education and training to various audiences and has given more than 150 presentations at peer-reviewed conferences and as an invited guest speaker. She developed the Warrior Renew program to treat Military Sexual Trauma. She received her double major Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
