Laura Germine, PhD, is a neuroscientist and geneticist at Harvard Medical School who studies how our brains help us understand ourselves and other people.

Germine is interested in the way variations in genes, environments, and changes over the lifespan shape individual differences in cognitive functioning, and the relationship between cognitive functioning, mental health, and specific developmental disorders.

She is founder and director of TestMyBrain.org, a website that provides tools for everyday people to engage in scientific research and learn about themselves. She has collected data from more than 800,000 participants since 2008.
