Jason Stern is cofounder and publisher at Luminary Publishing, which he launched in 1993, to nourish and support the cultural, creative, and community life of the Hudson Valley. He publishes Chronogram, Upstate House, and their respective websites, and produces custom publications for like-minded organizations.
A student an teacher of G. I. Gurdjieff's Fourth Way for more than 25 years, he has extensive experience in the several Fourth Way lineages, including PD Ouspensky, JG Bennett, and the Gurdjieff Foundation.
Stern is also author of Learning to Be Human, a collection of his Esteemed Reader essays from the Chronogram, which explore what it means to be human through the lens of the teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff, as well as Sufism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Judaism.
