Haemin Sunim is a Korean Zen Buddhist teacher, author, and founder of the School of Broken Hearts in Seoul, South Korea. His best-selling books, The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down and Love for Imperfect Things, have sold more than 6 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 38 languages. Educated at Berkeley, Harvard, and Princeton, Sunim received monastic training at Haein Monastery and taught Asian religions at Hampshire College. He resides in Seoul, where he leads the Dharma Illumination Zen Center, offering meditation retreats and counseling.
