Andrea Lieberstein, MPH, RD, RYT, is a registered dietitian and nutritionist, and an instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness (MB-EAT). As a mindfulness meditation and mindful eating coach, she leads retreats and professional trainings nationally and internationally in a variety of settings. In her private practice, she works with individuals with a wide range of disordered eating, weight management, body image and stress related issues, and health concerns.
The creator of Inspire Coaching, a mindfulness-based wellness coaching and training company, Lieberstein offers her expertise to individuals, groups, and organizations. She has practiced vipassana (mindfulness) meditation since the mid-1980s, and practices yoga and meditation regularly. She particularly enjoys practicing in nature and incorporating nature and mindfulness-based nature practices into her retreats and programs whenever possible.
A contributing author to The Stress Reduction and Relaxation Training Workbook (5th edition) and Some Leaders are Born Women, she also directs mind-body-spirit programs at Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco.
