The goal is to notice every time you get distracted and focus back on your breath. “That moment of seeing the distraction is not proof of failure—it’s proof of success,” he says. “The whole goal is to notice when you become distracted and start again. You’re training the brain to wake up. It’s like a bicep curl for your brain.”
