By Dawson Church

It's natural to feel anxious and sad when you hear tragic news. What can you do to cope? Founding director of the Veterans Stress Project Dawson Church offers a 6-minute tapping practice that can be used to name and release the stress you're feeling about the tragedy, freeing you up to help in the most creative, productive ways possible instead.

This practice is a form of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a modality endorsed by the Veterans Administration as an alternative method suitable for work with veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
