Paul Perry is coauthor of five New York Times best sellers, including The Light Beyond with Raymond Moody, Saved by the Light with Dannion Brinkley, and Evidence of the Afterlife with Jeffrey Long, MD. Perry has cowritten 12 books on near-death experiences, including four with Dr. Moody. His books have been published in more than 30 languages around the world.
 
Paul is also a documentary filmmaker whose work has appeared on worldwide television. His best-known film, Jesus, the Lost Years, a documentary based on his book of the same name, has aired more than 20 times in the United States. His most recent film, The Secrets and Mysteries of Christopher Columbus, has been viewed nearly two million times on British history streaming channel, Timeline of History. For his film and book about artist Salvador Dali, Perry was knighted in Portugal and is the official filmmaker of the Portuguese royal family.
 
Paul is a former fellow at the prestigious Gannett Center for Media Studies at Columbia University in New York City. He taught magazine writing at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, and was executive editor of American Health magazine, a winner of the National Magazine Awards for General Excellence. Since becoming a full-time writer, Paul has written or cowritten more than 20 books on a variety of topics, including biography, health, medical science, and history.
