Nandini Austin, a British Indo-Mauritian performer, speaker, and self-described "philosophical edutainer," is on a mission to inspire vibrant living through dance and Ayurveda. Raised in a multicultural household between London, Mauritius, and New York, Nandini has been immersed in diverse cultural influences. From a young age, she performed Indian classical kathak and Mauritian Sega dance in temples and on stages alongside her father, a renowned Hindu priest, who instilled Vedanta philosophy in her. Her grandmother’s Ayurvedic lifestyle also profoundly shaped her path.
Nandini has worked as director of global sales in luxury boutique hotels, traveling the world and experiencing various cultures, dance styles, music, and healing practices. Her journey into holistic wellness deepened while working at the David Lynch Foundation, where she practiced Transcendental Meditation and curated wellness retreats. Combining her global experiences, love for Ayurveda, and passion for dance, Nandini created Global Dance Fusion, a joyful class blending dance traditions such as kathak, African rhythms, and belly dance with Ayurvedic wisdom. Her mission is to help women reconnect with their bodies, elevate their “ojas” (life force), and live with purpose.
In addition to dance, Nandini curates holistic self-care experiences, promoting a healthy hedonist lifestyle. Using Ayurveda, spices, and mindfulness, she empowers her clients to live balanced, joyful lives.
