Lisa Thomas Prince, MPH, CYT, is an educator and program manager of the University of Wisconsin Health Mindfulness Program. She is a qualified Instructor of Mindfulness-based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP), associate faculty with the Mindful Birthing & Parenting Foundation, and a certified instructor of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and MBSR-Teen. 

Lisa's early career focused on women's reproductive health across the globe and included posts with the World Health Organization and Pathfinder International. She later received her teaching certification as a world language educator and focused on language and cultural learning with students in elementary school.

In 2011, Lisa joined a research team at the Center for Healthy Minds investigating the benefits of the Kindness Curriculum, a mindfulness program for preschoolers. This work expanded into curriculum development for a mindfulness program for middle school students, mindfulness training for educators and staff, and further training in evidence-based mindfulness interventions.

Lisa is passionate about working with expectant parents, caregivers, teachers, and families to support mindful awareness and compassion. Informed by long-time study of mind-body practices such as martial arts, yoga, and qigong, she's a 200-hour certified yoga teacher.
