Kathleen Finlay is president of The Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming and has been a leader in the sustainability movement for most of her career. She has been instrumental in organizing women who work for environmental progress and founded Pleiades, a constellation of women addressing social and environmental change.
In 2012, she became president of Glynwood, an organization at the forefront of the movement to promote local and regenerative agriculture, train young farmers and other food professionals to work within a thriving regional food system, and support food systems that promote personal and planetary health. Under her leadership, Glynwood has become a premier learning hub for food and farming professionals.
Previously, Kathleen was a director of Harvard’s Center for Health and the Global Environment. She holds a degree in biology from University of California Santa Cruz and a master of science in science journalism from Boston University. She has authored reports and publications and acts as an advisor to environmental and community organizations, including New York State’s Department of Agriculture and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s Agricultural Working Group.
