Jan Guarino is an artist, educator, author, and graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology. She designed marketing materials for businesses for 40 years as a graphic artist, and now focuses entirely on painting and teaching.
Jan founded Fearless Watercolors and teaches in various locations on Long Island, Vermont, New Jersey, and worldwide via Zoom. She also coordinates artists trips to Europe. She has exhibited at the Heckscher Museum, the William Reis Gallery, the Huntington Arts Council, the Long Island Museum, The Art Guild, Mills Pond Gallery, and Islip Art Gallery. She is a Firefly Artist in the cooperative gallery In Northport, New York.
Jan enjoys teaching watercolor techniques, theories, and joy with all of her students. It is her hope that they find enjoyment in interpreting their world with paint, splatters, drips, and color by embracing the unexpected and unplanned.
