Chi Nguyễn is an interdisciplinary artist who uses textiles and community-engaged practices to examine the intersection of race, gender, and sexuality in the US, explore the concept of belonging, and reflect on her transition to motherhood.
Previously, Chi was the managing director of strategic communications at The Bronx Defenders and a senior advisor at the NYC Racial Justice Commission. She worked on key Mayoral policies and programs while at the New York City Mayor’s Office as the assistant deputy director for marketing and communications and director of creative strategy. She cofounded the first annual NYC Digital Inclusion Conference to provide hands-on workshops and networking opportunities for digital workers in public and private sectors on internet human rights and digital accessibility.
