Betsy Marzahn-Ramos blends a background in education, training, and nonprofit management with an entrepreneurial spirit as the executive director of the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts, a role she’s held since 2020. A 200-hour certified yoga teacher and prenatal yoga instructor through Pranakriya, Betsy applies her experience in training and program development to guide the school in training exceptional teachers who bring yoga to diverse communities.
Passionate about the healing benefits of yoga, Betsy believes it should be accessible to all for stress relief, personal growth, and well-being. An experienced international retreat leader, she enjoys creating grounded experiences where participants connect with culture, environment, and community. Betsy lives in Fairfield, Connecticut, and teaches beach yoga, stand-up paddleboard (SUP) yoga, beginner, prenatal, and kids yoga.
Her classes, rooted in the Pranakriya tradition, integrate pranayama, asana, and meditation, drawing on ancient practices and foundational texts. She focuses on self-awareness, building compassionate strength, and balancing the nervous system to help students feel more fully alive.
Betsy holds a dual bachelor’s degree from Canisius College and master’s degrees from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Brandeis University. She is completing her 300-hour advanced certification through Pranakriya.
