Greg Hedler

Greg Hedler (he/him) is a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of practice in pediatric oncology and hematology. He’s had the privilege to offer his presence to children and families moving through the realities of pediatric cancer diagnoses. In addition, he partners with pediatric oncology nonprofits to facilitate workshops and retreats in support of mothers and families in experiences related to the death of their child. His previous work in this area brought him to complete end-of-life doula certification with the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA).

Greg believes that loss is a constant state of being human and the honoring of grief is a crucial part of holding the fullness of life, which he calls “living in light of death and dying in the presence of life.” He was 25 years old when his best friend died of cancer, placing him in a state of vulnerability, confusion, and curiosity.

In addition to his love of learning, Greg has a passion for theater arts, both performance and production, and holds a bachelor’s degree in the field. He completed post-graduate certifications in applied positive psychology with The Flourishing Center and another in Bowen Family Systems Theory at Rutgers University. Greg is certified in integrative health modalities and incorporates mind/body connection into clinical care. He completed executive coaching certification through Presence-Based Coaching with additional coaching certifications through The Flourishing Center and Avalon Coaching Institute. He seeks to empower individuals to cope better in the face of adversity, while inviting people to live life with fullness.
