Marc David, MA, is a visionary health and nutrition consultant, eating psychologist, and author of The Slow Down Diet and Nourishing Wisdom.

A nutritionist with a master’s degree in the psychology of eating, David is founder and director of the educational organization, Institute for the Psychology of Eating. He has held senior consulting positions at Canyon Ranch Resorts, the Johnson & Johnson Corporation, Disney, and the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, where he also served as chairman of the board of directors.

Over the last 25 years, David has presented in many professional settings, including Harvard University, the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine, and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. His work has been featured on CNN, NBC, and numerous radio and television programs, as well as in publications such as the New York Times, Chicago Times, Yoga Journal, Utne Reader, Elle, and Glamour.

A nationally recognized teacher and speaker, Marc David also serves on the editorial staff of Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, a peer-reviewed journal for complementary and alternative medicine. His books have been translated into nine languages.
