Overview of Department Functions/ Responsibilities:
The Lifeguard is responsible for opening and closing the beach, supervising swimmers in a roped swim area, giving swim tests, enforcing lake rules, and supervising boaters. They are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean beach and grass area. Open Lifeguard positions include both full time and part time positions.
Omega Lifeguards need current Lifeguard, AED Essentials/ First Aid and Waterfront Module certification as required by the American Red Cross.
