Explore the seasonal fare of summer while building the skills and knowledge essential to becoming a good cook. Taught by Omega FoodWorks executive chef and general manager Robert Turner, this is the first of two courses in the Omega Cooking Series.

If you are interested in exploring how to make food choices to support wellness and a sustainable lifestyle, then register for a cooking workshop, or two, in our popular Omega Cooking Series.

Omega Cooking workshops are taught by Omega FoodWorks executive chef and general manager Robert Turner. They help you build the foundational skills and knowledge essential to the home cook.

Through classroom and hands-on demonstrations, you learn to use seasonal ingredients in dishes ranging from classical to contemporary in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. These workshops also deepen your awareness of food and how it affects your daily life and the world around you.

Come conquer your fears of cooking and become more confident and less reliant on recipes while exploring dietary options and creative ways to prepare whole foods with seasonal and local ingredients.

Robert Turner, executive chef and general manager of Omega FoodWorks, has been teaching cooking workshops at Omega for five years and is author of the monthly recipe in the eOmega News. An honors graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Turner’s philosophy of food is straightforward: Cook locally, seasonally, and simply. He networks closely with local farmers and regional producers to provide delicious meals for Omega’s guests and staff.
