The Danis Bois Method is a revolutionary form of bodywork and self-investigation that has attracted an international audience of practitioners throughout Europe and Canada. A subtle but powerful practice, it can provide relief from physical pain and tension, resolve psychological difficulties, and support personal transformation.

Guided by Howard Sonenklar, who has studied with Bois for the last 10 years, we are introduced to this system of sensorial based explorations and exercises that helps us encounter the natural rhythm inside our body. By reconnecting with this essence, or inner movement, we reorient, reveal, and reawaken our relationship to our bodies and our world, and support our vitality and innate capacity to heal. We explore:
  • Fasciatherapy-somatology, a precise hands-on touch therapy
  • Movement that bonds our "inner movement" perception with gesture expression
  • Sensorial introspection
  • Verbal dialogue that links the body's language to our life experience
This workshop is suitable for health professionals, educators, artists, and bodyworkers looking to acquire new skills, as well as for others looking for healing and support in their personal and spiritual journey.

Howard Sonenklar is a professor of somatic awareness and theater studies at the University of Lisbon. He has been involved in movement research, education, and therapeutic practices for more than 20 years and is certified in the Danis Bois Method and Body-Mind Centering®. Sonenklar has a private practice in Lisbon and offers workshops and consultations worldwide.
