“To look and feel years younger, stop working so hard!” says pain and stress reduction expert Elaine Petrone.

Yes, it’s true. Many of the ill effects of aging, whether we are 20 or 90 years old, result from the body’s tendency to become misaligned over time and work against itself, causing pain and dreaded changes like a rounding tummy and sagging upper arms.

Developed from Petrone’s own experience with chronic pain, this innovative, nonrigorous method of deep muscle relaxation shows us how to find pain relief in all areas of the body and mind. While sitting, lying down, and standing, we work with our breath and the weight of our body with gravity to release muscle tension, allowing our body’s self-alignment system to recuperate. The result is reduced pain and stress, improved posture for a lean and longer look, and healing for many common ailments, including low backache, fatigue, shoulder and neck pain, arthritis, anxiety, and sleeplessness. Men and women of any age and at any level of fitness are invited.
