Photography allows us to capture our visual world instantaneously. But we often see and feel much more than what can be captured by our camera.
Norma Brown Hill shows us how to use color, drawings, leaves, flowers, jewelry, fabric, and personal
memorabilia to tailor our photographs to our unique vision.
Using your digital or 35mm film camera, we photograph Omega’s beautiful campus as well as use photographs from our personal collection to create transfer images, unique impressionistic prints on watercolor paper. These images lend themselves to enhancement with pastels, watercolors, decoupage, rubber stamps, and found objects, allowing us to experiment with colors and materials in creative ways.
Using these hands-on techniques, we learn to more completely see, be in the moment, and appreciate colors and textures in the world around us. Whether we are a beginner or experienced professional, we delve into and develop our creative potential and bring home beautiful works of our own to frame, or a photo journal of our own creation.
Bring a camera and, if desired, photographs and/or memorabilia. All other materials are provided.
Norma Brown Hill has exhibited photographs in numerous galleries and exhibitions internationally, and her work is held in major collections. In addition to producing and starring in her own cable television show, Focus on Photography, she has taught at major institutions and gives workshops worldwide. artnsoul-online.com
