There are countless approaches to mind-body work that can strengthen and loosen our bodies, but few of these disciplines offer the weight-bearing, cardiovascular form of exercise that running can offer. ChiRunning® blends the inner focus of tai chi with the sport of running, and turns it into a mindful practice of injury-free movement. Danny Dreyer guides accomplished and beginning runners alike through his ChiRunning technique in a body-friendly, understandable way. If you have stopped running because of injury or have been afraid to begin running because of the fear of injury, this workshop is for you.
In addition to transforming running from a sport to a mindful practice that gives us a lifetime of enjoyment, we also learn about injury prevention, energy efficiency, and diet. We learn and practice a series of exercises and drills designed to energize and relax our bodies while giving us a good cardio-aerobic workout.
