Social Media Training

Making Connections

Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.

The world is rapidly changing, and the ways we communicate, connect, and share information are creating a powerful new paradigm of potential.

In this social media training, we learn how individuals, businesses, and mission-based organizations can tap into this potential. Focusing on Facebook, Twitter, and Wordpress, we learn how to engage and flourish in the landscape of social media.

Through projected slide shows, live tutorials, hands-on instruction, and coaching we create Facebook and Twitter accounts and set up a blog on Wordpress. Then we explore the essentials of the different online environments to learn how to create profiles, connect with others, and promote ourselves and our work.

We also discover how we can turn participating in social media into a daily spiritual practice, conveying our commitments and expressing what we find most meaningful.

This workshop is perfect for those who want to explore the medium, including writers and artists and others in creative fields; educators; businesses and organizations looking to make contact and network with communities of like-minded people; and change agents and spiritual leaders who want to participate in the online dialogues concerning change and the evolution of consciousness.

No experience in social media is necessary.

Bring a laptop with the most recent version of a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.). Laptops need to be enabled to use wireless Internet. A letter with more information about the workshop will be sent upon registration.
