Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.

Intro to Omega Living Weekend is perfect for people who have never been to Omega, or who are looking for a way to introduce a friend or family member to Omega’s distinctive holistic lifestyle and unique learning retreats. This workshop offers the opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and feel at home within a community of warm, caring people in the midst of Omega’s beautiful lake, gardens, and wooded trails.

Omega’s chief executive officer, Skip Backus, external affairs director, Carla Goldstein, and seasoned Omega staff join together to give you an introduction to the principles Omega values and the activities we offer, including yoga, meditation, tai chi, vegetarian cooking, sustainable living, and community building. In addition to focusing on your individual health and wellness, the weekend offers you an opportunity to gain insight into how your choices impact the world.

You return home with new practices you can use to reduce stress, increase well-being, and make sustainable lifestyle choices every day.

Skip Backus is chief executive officer of Omega. For more than 20 years, he managed Omega’s operations, including all of Omega’s buildings. Backus has provided visionary leadership for the Omega Center for Sustainable Living, which is expected to be the first “Living Building” in the United States.

Carla Goldstein, JD, is external affairs director for Omega and director of the Women’s Institute at Omega. She is an activist, teacher, and lawyer with 20 years’ experience in public interest advocacy. Goldstein writes the monthly column “Spiritual Activism” for Feminist.com.
