Within each of us is a deep river of creativity, passion, and silence. It is a place of close connection to ourself and what matters to us most. Although this deep river within is a powerful source of nurturance, the fragmentation and sheer pace of life in 21st-century America can often bury it beneath the perpetual motion of our days. This weekend, psychotherapist Abby Seixas helps women learn to slow down and reconnect with the deep river within. With the help of experiential exercises, discussion, creative expression, humor, and each other, we explore ways to free ourself from the tyranny of our “to-do’s,” and learn to rest more in our deeper self and the gift of life. We learn three preliminary doorways and six core practices to: - Reconnect with ourself and tap hidden inner reserves
- Deal with inner and outer obstacles that hinder balanced and meaningful living
- Allow our own deeper currents to flow through daily life
- Appreciate and enjoy life as it is, in the present moment
