Spend an exciting weekend exploring the lively, transparent medium of watercolor, even if you have never picked up a paint brush before. In a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere, we learn about our materials, and then let ourselves go as we explore how this paint acts on wet paper.
We see the effects the colors have on each other through a series of color mixing adventures that give us an understanding of how to use color in future painting endeavors. We conclude with drawing and painting from life, and learning that yes, in fact, we can all do it!
An award-winning artist, Ann Lindsay has been teaching watercolor since 1989; her years of experience have made her a skilled guide. Her workshops have received national attention and have been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine.
Ann K. Lindsay is also teaching Watercolor: A Holistic Approach to Painting, August 3-8.
In her unique approach to painting, Ann K. Lindsay, author of Watercolor: A New Beginning, teaches us that watercolor is a medium that likes to be played with, and that art is the voice of the soul, a personal and individual expression that is not to be judged. Her aim is to help us rediscover the unfettered creative spirit of our childhood. annlindsay.org |
