Dance of Liberation

This workshop has been cancelled.

Mystics and sages have long recognized the power of ritual drumming, chanting, and other rhythmic vibrations to shift consciousness. Today, as Western science is proving that certain rhythms can alter mental states and facilitate deep healing, a new wave of modern shamans is emerging to guide us on our journey to self-discovery and well-being.

This weekend, Parashakti and Matthew Lombardo, assisted by Purnima Langen, are our modern shamanic guides. They host the Dance of Liberation®, a ritual celebration fusing intention, Jivamukti Yoga, dance, breathwork, and contemporary shamanism that opens powerful portals of spiritual energy to transform the way you think and feel—and who you are and long to be.

Our dance begins with a ritual purification, connecting heart, body, mind, and spirit. We then join a vision quest, moving into deeper states of consciousness and closer to our individual and collective soul’s purpose.

As we commit to the spirit of love, unity, healing, and spiritual awakening of the dance, we recharge our souls and celebrate life.

Parashakti, Dance of Liberation creator, SoulHealing practitioner, and One World Spirit Dance cofacilitator, leads Liberation Lounge, a monthly ritual at the Jivamukti Yoga School in New York City. Her worldwide retreats have been praised in Newsweek and the Jerusalem Post for their intoxicating fun and devoted following. parashakti.org

Matthew Lombardo’s training in Jivamukti Yoga® and Tibetan Buddhism, combined with a lifelong interest in metaphysics, art, and music, weave together to form a physically challenging, mentally stimulating, and spiritually effervescent experience.
