Invoking Hindu Gods & Goddesses

Sanskrit Chant, Siilent Meditation & Yogic Discussion Retreat

Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.

Immerse yourself in the sacred chants, stories, and symbolism of Hindu gods and goddesses, and learn to manifest the divine in your own life. Guided by Manorama, director of the School of Sanskrit Studies, you delight in the power of sacred silence and the divine vibration of Sanskrit, and discover how to transform your consciousness.

Together, we practice silent conscious listening and open our heart to the power of pure shakti. We chant Sanskrit mantras and invoke the sacred vibrations of Hindu gods and goddesses. We learn about the symbolism of the gods and goddesses, such as the significance of their instruments, why they have so many arms, and how the elephant god Ganesha rides on a mouse. We also discover how Hindu gods and goddesses represent different aspects of our own nature, and how they are contextualized into the teachings of yoga.

As we invoke Hindu gods and goddesses in our practice together, we are lead to experience worthiness, peace, joy, authenticity of voice, and balance in our daily life.

$36 materials fee; include when you register. Bring a notebook, a pencil, and comfortable clothing for sitting meditation practice.
