The Simple Joys of Yoga & Walking

Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.
This workshop occurs during Retreat Week.

Rejuvenate your body, refresh your mind, and brighten your energy through the joining of yoga and walking in the fresh country air. The back roads and forested pathways that wind around and through the Omega campus are an ideal setting to take the road back to yourself.

Although many of us already practice yoga and regularly walk, when posture and breathing techniques are skillfully applied to walking, we can minimize injury and fully enjoy their combined benefits. Learning to relax, stretch, align, strengthen, and be deeply aware of body, mind, and spirit while walking, awakens a powerful new energy that leaves a peaceful smile on your face long after the last step is taken.

In Omega's bright, airy yoga studio, expert instruction is given in body mechanics, breath awareness, postural alignment, and safe techniques for strengthening. Core breathing practices, meditation, and deep, nurturing relaxation help you go deeper into your understanding of yoga, while enjoying a new ease in movement and position.

This workshop is for people at all levels of yoga experience.

CE available. Bring walking shoes, insect repellant, hat, sunscreen, rain gear, and water bottle.
