With more than 23.6 million people living with diabetes in the United States, it is likely that you or someone you love is living with or developing the condition. In Cooking for Diabetics & Pre-Diabetics, you build the foundational skills and knowledge essential to cooking up delicious, healthy meals for Type I and Type II diabetics, and pre-diabetics, that the whole family can enjoy.

In a relaxed and fun atmosphere, former executive chef of Omega, Kurtis Price, and Omega’s current executive chef, Robert Turner, give demonstrations and guide you in hands-on preparation and cooking of diabetes-friendly appetizers, entrees, and desserts. As a diabetic cook, you learn how to stock your pantry and refrigerator to accommodate the diabetic diet with robust flavors and textures, and discover easy cooking techniques to ensure a healthy meal. You return home with recipes and the confidence to produce complete meals everyone will love.

Robert Turner is also teaching the Omega Cooking Series; June 25-27 & September 17-19 ; Whole Foods Cooking for the Family; August 8-13; ; and is part of Being Yoga; August 20-22, 2010..
