Tai Ji Dancing & Music Improvisation

The Tao of Poetic Imagination

Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.

Chungliang Al Huang and David Darling share a lifelong kinship and artistic collaboration that inspires the natural Tai Ji dancer and musician in everyone.

In this weeklong retreat of great power and beauty, Huang leads us in tai ji meditations, qigong breathing exercises, and dance, while Darling plays beautiful and inspiring cello improvisation. They also share their passion for chanting and dancing to Chinese Tao and Zen poems, as well as poems from around the world. As our heart, mind, and body open through movement, breath, and chanting, we rediscover our creative genius and fulfill our potential as joyful beings.

No experience is necessary to join in the fun and celebrate the artist, philosopher, musician, and dancer in all of us.

Bring one or two of your favorite poems.
