Join some of Inner Traditions’ most renowned authors for this wide-ranging retreat designed to explore spiritual and healing traditions from around the world, both ancient and modern.

Individual sessions throughout the weekend cover a variety of fascinating and practical topics, including indigenous cultures, perennial philosophy, Eastern spiritual practices, sustainability, herbal remedies, shamanism, and systems theory. We tap into these topics as we rethink our values and priorities, and shape the transformation of our culture in the direction of a holistic worldview and global sustainability, which are required in the 21st century.

Faculty

Ervin Laszlo is widely recognized as the founder of systems philosophy and general evolution theory. He is the author or editor of 69 books translated into 19 languages, and has more than 400 articles and re-search papers and six volumes of piano recordings to his credit. The recipient of the highest degree in philosophy and human sciences from the Sorbonne, he is the author of several books exploring the meeting of science, spirituality, and sustainability, including Macroshift: Navigating the Transformation to a Sustainable World.

Sarah Tomlinson, author of Nine Designs for Inner Peace, studied yantra painting in India with tantric master and artist Harish Johari, who revealed to her the healing power of meditation with yantras. She is the founder and codirector of the Ayurveda-Yoga Institute of New York.

Ellen Evert Hopman, MEd, author of A Druid’s Herbal of Sacred Tree Medicine, is a Druid priestess, master herbalist, and lay homeopath. She is a founding member and cochief of the Order of the White Oak (Ord na Darach Gile), serves on the Grey Council of Mages and Sages, and is a professor of Wortcunning at the Grey School of Wizardry.

Marc Seifer, PhD, author of Transcending the Speed of Light, teaches psychology at Roger Williams University. He has studied under Bruno Bettelheim, Herbert Meltzer, and Stanley Krippner, and is also the author of Inward Journey: From Freud to Gurdjieff and the acclaimed Wizard: The Life & Times of Nikola Tesla. marcseifer.com

Kenneth Smith, author of Awakening the Energy Body, has published several other books (writing under the name Ken Eagle Feather) on Toltec philosophy, including On the Toltec Path and Toltec Dreaming.

Susan J. Wright, author of The Chakras in Shamanic Practice, is a practicing shaman, licensed massage therapist, certified as both a Gestalt psychotherapist and yoga teacher, and is a licensed clinical social worker. She created and facilitates a shamanic training program at her healing center, Birth of Venus, in Mamaroneck, New York.

Pam Montgomery, author of Plant Spirit Healing, has been investigating plants and their intelligent spiritual nature for more than 20 years. She is a founding member of the Northeast Herbal Association and is on the advisory board of United Plant Savers. She is also the author of Partner Earth: A Spiritual Ecology and contributing author to Planting the Future.

Nan Moss and David Corbin, coauthors of Weather Shamanism, have been faculty members of Michael Harner’s Foundation for Shamanic Studies since 1995. They have been re-searching and teaching the spiritual aspects of weather since 1997. shamanscircle.com
