The best way to get started is under the guidance of a skilled teacher like Linda Lalita Winnick. This introduction to yoga weekend, for people of all ages and all levels of experience, provides an overview of the basic yoga postures, as well as the many styles of yoga available. We learn physical poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), spiritual philosophy, and meditation. We practice proper alignment of the body, coordination of breath and movement, holding the postures, and flowing from one pose to another.
