Passion burns down every branch of exhaustion
Passion is the supreme elixir and renews all things
Let divine passion triumph and rebirth you in your self.
-Rumi

The great religious traditions tell us that the universe is created out of the passionate energy of the divine. In this special gathering, a stellar, diverse group of teachers shows us how we can each connect to this powerful, passionate energy to infuse our lives with joy, clarity, vitality, and purpose.

Andrew Harvey defines and teaches us to draw on what he names the five sacred passions: the passion for the eternal divine, the passion for all of creation, the passion of compassion for all sentient beings, the passion of tantra and sacred relationship, and the passion for inspired service. Each one calls us to infuse passion into our lives, and the lives of those around us by engaging in sacred activism.

To help us achieve the union of our passions, Seane Corn leads us in a vinyasa flow yoga session in which we couple dynamic movement and ecstatic breath, synergistically expressing the beauty of the universal life force in our body. Yasuhiko Genku Kimura, through masterful Zen-like Socratic inquiries, prods us to deeply penetrate into the core of our being and awaken our soul's passion. Sister Alice Martin helps us to express this passion by transforming us into a community of gospel singers, where we raise our voices and express our aspirations toward dignity, commitment, hope, love, God, community, and joy.

No previous activism, yoga, singing, or Zen experience is necessary. Come rouse your passion and learn how to share it with others to transform the challenges of our time into opportunities for inspiring peace and unity.
