This workshop is for those interested in learning a unique method of organizational transformation to improve mission development and enhance morale, and to augment organization vitality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Led by Diana Whitney, author of The Power of Appreciative Inquiry, we learn how to create, grow, and maintain a dynamic, effective, and healthy organizational culture. By focusing on what works well rather than what is wrong, we develop our skills to lead key steps in the Appreciative Inquiry process: affirmative topic choice, appreciative interviews, envisioning the future, crafting provocative proposals, and creating sustainable appreciative organization cultures.
Leaders in faith-based organizations, nonprofits, and business, and anyone desiring organizational growth, are invited to attend. Successful completion of this workshop is a first step toward the Appreciative Inquiry and the Practice of Positive Change certificate offered by the Corporation for Positive Change.
Participants will be able to:
- Describe the process of Appreciative Inquiry
- Discuss the idea that organizational change, at its best is "a relational process grounded in appreciation and inquiry
- List the major steps involved in the Appreciative Inquiry process
- Demonstrate how to conduct an "appreciative interview"
- Discuss 3 specific methods for producing positive organizational change
$15 materials fee; include when you register. Please read and bring a copy of the book, The Power of Appreciative Inquiry, to the workshop
