Improve your health and discover your natural bliss with the practice of classical ch段 kung, the ancient Chinese art and science of gentle breathing exercises, meditations, and physical practices.
Paul Bloom presents the time-honored healing and spiritual practices of classical ch段 kung in an easy-to-follow manner. We receive a brief theoretical overview of ch段 kung, but our main emphasis this weekend is on our practice. We focus on ch段 kung techniques drawn from the classical Taoist canon. These techniques specifically address organs and functions of our body. We learn and practice:
- Hsing Yi (mind-body) warm-ups to cultivate internal energy
- 8 Brocades of Silk to prevent illness and maintain youthful vitality
- Crane to strengthen the lungs, cultivate physical grace, and eliminate stress
- Standing meditation to create strength in stillness
All the practices are easy to do用eople of all ages and levels of experience are welcome. You return home with detailed notes and a DVD to help you continue the healing practices of classical ch段 kung every day.
Paul Bloom has studied Chinese culture at Harvard and Columbia universities and ch段 kung with Kwan Sai-hung and Tzu Kuo Shih. A practitioner of ch段 kung and Tibetan Buddhism for more than 25 years, he has taught at Buddhist retreats nationwide and conducts weekly classical ch段 kung classes in New York City and upstate New York.
