His short stories and essays have appeared in the New Yorker, the Paris Review, Granta, the New York Times Book Review, and numerous other publications. Saïd Sayrafiezadeh was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a Jewish American mother and an Iranian father, and was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He now lives in New York City with his wife.
