Gene Shelly, MDiv, a pastoral psychotherapist and New York State licensed mental health counselor, has been in private practice since 1983. He is a fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, an international association of theologically and clinically trained therapists, and an affiliate member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Gene Shelly has been married for more than 40 years to his wife, Martine. He credits Imago Relationship Therapy for saving his marriage, and for helping him “get out-of-the-way so the relationship could grow and become fulfilling.”
