Wald Amberstone is known in the tarot community as a creative and original teacher. Together with his wife, Ruth Ann Amberstone, he is cofounder of the Tarot School, cocreator of The Readers Studio, an annual international tarot conference, and coauthor of The Secret Language of Tarot and Tarot Tips: 78 Practical Techniques to Enhance Your Tarot Reading Skills. Their articles have also been published in many of Llewellyn’s Tarot Reader almanacs and their Tarot School correspondence course has been enjoyed by students all over the world.
Wald teaches, writes, speaks, and publishes about tarot on all levels, from divination to psychology to esotericism and magical practice. He is a perpetual pioneer of new tarot techniques and remains a lifelong tarot student. He began his tarot studies in 1959 and in 1998 was awarded the honorary rank of certified tarot grandmaster. Wald Amberstone has been featured widely in the media, including appearances on The Today Show, FOX & Friends, and the Discovery Channel.
