Jeffrey Cohen, cofounder and codirector of Jivamukti Yoga Charleston, is an Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga® teacher and serves as Lead Mentor for the residential Jivamukti Yoga teacher training. Cohen received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, but his failure to respond to traditional methods of psychotherapy for addiction and behavioral problems led him to yoga. There, he experienced healing, humility, and salvation through divine community (satsang) and devotion.
Jeffrey Cohen teaches workshops and retreats worldwide. Each of his classes is textured with a blend of music, rigor, and hands-on assists. He also produces video and radio projects, including collaborations with Russell Simmons and Martha Stewart.
