Aliana Apodaca
Aliana Apodaca is owner and principal trainer of Positive Directions, a company in El Paso, Texas, offering customized training services. She evolved from being a single mother on welfare, to one of her community's leaders. In 1994, she was among a group of small business owners invited to meet with President Bill Clinton at the White House. She attended the University of Texas at El Paso and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She is a 1990 Fellow of the National Hispana Leadership Institute, and one of 25 women chosen from throughout the United States for outstanding leadership and community service. She is also the founder of the Women's Leadership Institute and Latinas 100, two organizations dedicated to furthering the leadership capabilities of women and providing them tools for networking and professional development. |
