Ty Burhoe
Ty Burhoe, a senior disciple of the great drumming legend Zakir Hussain, is known for his versatility in playing different styles of music and producing unusual collaborations. He has worked with artists such as Ustad Sultan Khan, Steve Oda, Roshan Bhartiya, Steve Gorn, Art Lande, Kai Eckhardt, Paul McCandless, Krishna Das, Curandero (Miguel Espinoza), Bela Fleck, Kitaro, and many more.
Burhoe tours internationally, performing in concert, hosting retreats and workshops, and recording in the studio. He also composes and performs on sound tracks for film and yoga videos, including the recent Academy Award-winning documentary, Born into Brothels.
