Global challenges of these times impact us personally and collectively and call for greater inner steadiness, curiosity, and openness. Relational mindfulness supports us to be present with ourselves as we engage in a dialogic meditation practice that respects all perspectives. Insight deepens as we learn to listen and listen to learn.
Insight Dialogue is an interpersonal meditation practice that brings mindfulness and tranquility of traditional silent meditation into our experience with others. Resting on three synergistic foundations of wisdom teachings, relational presence, and meditation, Insight Dialogue cultivates wisdom, compassion, and greater freedom in the good company of other meditators.
In this 5-day retreat, we engage the power of relational meditation practice to more clearly see the habits of heart and mind that lead to stress and distress, and how freeing ourselves from those habits creates greater ease and happiness.
Insight Dialogue practice unfolds simply after a period of silent sitting meditation. Then, in pairs or larger groups, we develop mindfulness and tranquility together, and you are invited to reflect and dialogue on human experiences such as change, kindness, doubt, or generosity. The meditation guidelines of Insight Dialogue support deepening investigation into the nature of struggle and freedom.
Meditation experience is supportive to engaging with relational practice. For more information about the practice of Insight Dialogue, please see insightdialogue.org/guidelines.
